Food insecurity is a pressing problem for the people of Tamil Nadu.They experience first the effects of climate change, which has brought lengthy droughts and unpredictable monsoons, resulting in food insecurity. Food prices run at about 30% to 40% inflation throughout the state. One way we have met this problem is by encouraging villagers and school students to grow organic vegetables in kitchen gardens.
